Wedding parties are encouraged to supply their own food, as there is no in-house catering.
External caterers will need to set up their own space to heat up or cook any food.

We allow wedding parties to supply their own alcohol for their special day!
The couple must provide a Special Occasions Permit to Powell’s Trees prior to the event start.

Here at Powell’s Trees, we work with you to help alleviate your stress and create a unique personalized wedding experience! We charge a flat fee, depending on the day, for rental of the entire venue, exclusive of our home of course!
Friday & Sunday: $5,000
Saturday: $7,000This includes:
1pm to midnight venue use, including setup and teardown
Access to:
the Cabin (ideal for use as a bridal suite)
the hillside, featuring views of the rolling hills of Bowmanville all the way to the CN Tower (ideal for your ceremony!)
the pond area (ideal for a reception post ceremony)
On site parking for up to 50 people

Can we book a tour? Yes! Please click the request a tour button at the bottom of the page, fill out the form and we will be in contact within 48 hours!
Is the property available year-round? We are open between May and October year round. From October to December, our property is full of people looking for a tree for Christmas! We are closed on statutory or special holidays such as Victoria Day, Canada Day, August Civic Holiday, Labour Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas, New Years Eve and New Years Day.
Wedding Planners Use of a wedding planner is mandatory for renting and utilizing the space.
Event Access and Teardown Times You are responsible for the setup and teardown of all items you bring on premise. You will have access by 11am the day of your wedding and will have until 10am the next day to teardown and remove all your belongings from the property.
Do you host more than one event per day? No. The property is exclusively yours on your wedding day!
Can I use my own caterer? Yes, there is no in-house catering as part of the venue rental.
Can I bring my own alcohol? Yes, there is no bar service provided as part of the venue rental. Couples must obtain a Special Occasions Permit and provide it to Powell’s prior to their wedding day.
Are pets allowed on the property? Yes, pets are allowed on the property
How do I pay for my event? In order to secure your date, a $1,000 deposit is due along with your signed contract. A payment schedule will be outlined in your contract. The final invoice with any difference in payments will be issued after your event day.
